Taste the Arctic!

In 1998, Dr. Elena Radcliffe and a team of scientists at the Boreal Arctic Research Station discovered a way to turn a logistical challenge into a unique business. The station, situated deep beneath the Arctic ice sheet, faced frequent supply shortages and limited food options for its small crew. In a stroke of ingenuity, Radcliffe and her team decided to experiment with creating frozen snacks using the surplus of fresh resources around them, blending local resources with imported ingredients. These “Arctic Bites” quickly became a hit among the researchers, turning cold-resistant ingredients into tasty, easy-to-store snacks. As visiting researchers raved about the quality and convenience, the idea took off, and Frosty Bites Laboratory was born. Now, Frozen Bites Laboratory operates as a niche brand with a cult following among adventurous consumers, distributing their “Polar Pops” and “Icebreaker Bites”, among other sweet, frozen treats across specialty stores and online, marketed as sustainably sourced snacks made under extreme conditions.
